Founded in 1964 as a residential development company in Alexandria, Virginia, DRI shifted its focus in the mid 1980s exclusively to commercial properties, concentrating its efforts in downtown Washington, DC. Since that time, DRI has emerged as a prominent downtown commercial developer and was instrumental in the landmark revitalization of the Gallery Place–Verizon Center area.
Now an independently operated, wholly owned subsidiary of Transwestern, DRI’s goals are to deliver quality buildings and to provide a level of service unmatched by competitors.
